Stone is a very popular material on its own because of many reasons. But the most popular reason being its strength. Because of this it is widely used in heavy masonry work such as compound walls, retaining walls. History is filled with examples of entire castles being built using dressed stones.

In landscaping decorative stones are widely used for many purposes. Depending upon which stone is being used, it can be modified to use as a cladding material on walls or even a paving material.
